Elizabeth Mokwena set out with a career in economics in mind. But one meeting with the energetic recruiters from Procter & Gamble set her on an exciting new path into the world of marketing.
I have always been interested in the consumer decision-making process and interacting with people so I knew that whilst I was studying a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Rhodes, I was not going to end up following a career in economics. I was introduced to the young, vibrant culture that ensures that you never have to tackle challenges alone creating an energetic environment with a culture of sharing ideas & opinions. I have been fortunate to have various managers and mentors that have taught me lessons that I am now applying to the team that I lead and develop. Learning never stops at P&G, as training and development is a strategic decision that P&G has taken over the years.
